Jay Sand's "All Around This World" Rounds Out 40th Street Summer Series

On September 24, Philadelphia's Jay Sand opens the final of the 40th Street Summer Series concert with a performance focused on encouraging kids to explore the world by enjoying global music, rhythms and movement. Concert is free and open to the public. However, The Rotunda and University City District are also pleased to announce special deals and outdoor eating in conjunction with the Summer Series at City Tap House, 3925 Walnut Street. Between 6-10pm, City Tap House will be offering house-made grilled sausages, hamburgers and hot dogs on their patio in addition to $3 Yards draughts and other drink specials.

Jay Sand is the founder and creator of All Around This World, a unique, interactive music class for children 0-8 years old that encourages kids to explore the world by enjoying global music, rhythms and movement. In weekly, 45 minute sessions, kids and their parents/caregivers sing, dance and play together while experiencing different languages, cultures and traditions.

From 1999 to 2003, Jay Sand, spent many months in Africa learning about and playing music with African-Jewish communities. He has since toured the U.S. delivering multimedia presentations about African Jewish communities and has taught African-Jewish songs to children of all ages.
