Global Philadelphia Association's "Sustainable Development Goals Pitch Night"

Saturday, October 20, 2018 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Clarkville 4301 Baltimore Ave
Philadelphia, PA 19104
United States

Global Philadelphia Association's (GPA) "Sustainable Development Goals Pitch Night" provides a fun and innovative platform for locals to identify a need in their city, aligned with one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and creatively devise a project idea to support this goal, all while enjoying good company, delicious pizza, and cold beer!

Choose a service project need based off of one of the following five Sustainable Development Goals:

  1. No Poverty
  2. Zero Hunger
  3. Good Health and Well-Being
  4. Quality Education
  5. Gender Equality

NOTE: the United Nations has identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals but we are only focusing on the five listed above for the purpose of this event.

One of GPA's missions is to build public awareness and ownership around Philadelphia's World Heritage City designation. Pitch night provides the perfect mix of socializing and civic engagement, held at West Philadelphia's very own Clarkville (43rd and Baltimore). The best pitch wins! So come on out and help make Philly a more sustainable and progressive World Heritage City!

Tickets are $10.00. Pizza is included. This event includes a cash bar. Click here to purchase your tickets!

This event is being held as part of Young Involved Philadelphia's (YIP) State of Young Philly (SOYP) program, which is a dynamic 10-day event series filled with programming designed to connect young Philadelphians of every background, showcase their positive impact, and amplify their voices. SOYP 2018 brings together nonprofits, government entities, civic leaders, and local businesses to help young Philadelphians identify what civic engagement means to them and the role each individual can play in driving change in their communities.
