Edwidge Danticat, author of Breath, Eyes, Memory, Krik? Krak!, and Create Dangerously: The Immigrant Artist at Work, will be on hand for an afternoon of literature, learning and love. Through performances, readings, and a discussion led by noted cultural activist and arts advocate April Silver, we will explore how Ms. Danticat's work has touched so many lives.

The Philadelphia Global Initiative on the Rule of Law: Celebrate and Reflect on 10 Years of the International Criminal Court

The kick off for a year-long series of seminars and events about the Rule of Law and the International Criminal Court (ICC) will take place on September 10th. You are invited to attend this conference to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Entry-into-Force of the Rome Statute, that established the International Criminal Court (ICC), and in conjunction celebrate the 225th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution in Philadelphia, with dignitaries, professionals and students from our universities/colleges. This conference will take place in the Free Library of Philadelphia.The event is free, but those who want to use CLE credits (continuing legal education) for their professional accreditation, will need to pay $50 for 2 credits.
