University City Science Center 3675 Market Street
Philadelphia, PA 19104
United States

Join CIC, the Science Center, Wexford Science + Technology, Ventas and a community fueled by collaboration as we celebrate the opening of 3675 Market Street. Get lost in the excitement and explore all that is possible in Philadelphia's newest hub of discovery.

Free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Featuring activations by over 30 local community organizations, local food and drink.

Here's what to expect from the Science Center:

1st Floor:
Get reintroduced to Quorum, the entrepreneur's clubhouse, now triple the size of its earlier iteration. Enjoy performances by West Philadelphia Orchestra, DJ O$AGIE, and aerialist/circus artist Kaitlin Chin.

2nd Floor:
The second floor space is split between Quorum and CIC Philadelphia. At Quorum, we’ll have activations by Fresh Artists Gallery, Lee Mo trio, Temple University’s Broad Street Line A Capella, AR/VR by Yetzer Studios, Cohere, Robin Hood Ventures, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

Take a tour of CIC’s office and co-working space, or stop by their community partner activations, including Philly Startup Leaders, Open Access Philly/Stimulus, The Study, Pressbox, ExCITe Center and Thomas Jefferson University Innovation Pillar (3D Printer).

3rd Floor:
Starting later this year, the Science Center will host Venture Café, powered by Quorum. This weekly occurrence is focused on connecting, educating and community-building and will give the region another opportunity to convene, connect and spark new ideas. Check out the space (including a roof deck!) where it will all happen.

4th Floor:
Check out the Science Center's headquarters on the fourth floor, where they'll be serving genetically modified drinks (you read that correctly) via the Microbial Design Studio, showcasing the BioArt residency, featuring artists and artwork, highlighting the impact of their commercialization programs through data visualizations, and you’ll be able to catch a glimpse into the future of uCity Square.

5th Floor:
Bigger, brighter, and better equipped than its predecessor, the Science Center’s STEM-based education initiative, FirstHand, boasts two learning labs, a maker space, and a digital studio, all designed to inspire middle and high school students to become the next generation of thinkers and doers.

6th Floor:
On the sixth floor, BioLabs will host tours of their new space, with special concoctions from Silver Bar Staffing, tunes by Arcangel Music, and of course more food and drinks for all.

If that wasn’t enough, our friends at CIC and BioLabs are activating additional spaces throughout the building, resulting in an experience where you can truly choose your own adventure.
