The 2019 Summer Global Leadership Seminar brings together students from across the Philadelphia region to learn, debate and discuss crucial topics in world affairs. This year's program is titled "The Rise of Political Populism" and will feature debates, a "crisis simulation," lectures from academics and policymakers, and a culminating trip to Washington D.C.

Participants can expect to explore the rise of both left-wing and right-wing populism in countries around the world including recent examples in Venezuela and Italy, among others. Students will explore the contexts and cultures of these unique case studies and will apply that knowledge to current trends in America and abroad.

Please check back in on this page in the coming weeks for more information about program details including the 2019 Summer Seminar Agenda. Registration is now open! Student participation is limited and the program generally fills quickly.

If you are interested in applying for the program or are interested in one of our need-based scholarships, please reach out directly to Kristin Hutchinson, Director of Student Programs at [email protected] or 215-561-4700 ext. 228 or Eric Bumbaca, Associate Director of Student Programs at [email protected] or 215-561-4700 ext. 216.
